The abstract shapes are appealing to me in architecture. Buildings and shacks cast shadows that create even more interesting abstract shapes. These structures appear to grow out of the ground. Cubes and angles are fascinating to paint. Windows are important as they provide the viewer to use their own imagination for what may be inside. I am particularly fond of the Stage Harbor Light House in Chatham. The historic towns have incredible quaint villages. Harwich, Dennis, Sandwich, Chatham and Wellfleet are among the neighborhoods that I return to again and again.
