Kely has been an artist all her life and has been an educator of new artists and those looking to improve their skills for the last 20 years. She studied art with Jack Garver and attended Rhode Island School of Design.
Personal Statement:
“The artist that I am is passionate. My observation of the world around me is intense and constant. Watching colors reflect captures my attention and compels me to interpret what I see. My fascination with colors is the key to my freedom of expression. The satisfaction that I gain as I paint the ever-changing environment around myself ties me to watercolor, my preferred medium.”

Subjects: Landscapes, architecture, portraits, still life, coastal scenes, boats, lighthouses, flowers, barns
Techniques: Watercolor on D’Arches 156 Lb. Rough. Color and wash layering. Paintings are available as originals and giclée prints.
Skills: Watercolor, illustration, graphic design, photography, pen and ink, art instruction and watercolor demonstrations.
Currently Exhibiting:
Rock Harbor Gallery, Orleans, Massachusetts. Gallery opened in 1995.
